Workshops
Centering Healthcare Institute (CHI) offers a range of workshops for staff at Centering sites, including: Centering Facilitation Workshops, Advanced Facilitation Workshops, Resident Facilitation Workshops and Centering Coordinator Trainings.
Each workshop is led by CHI staff, and registration for all workshops closes two weeks before the event date. Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Education (CE) credits are awarded for Centering Facilitation Workshops and Advanced Facilitation Workshops led by CHI staff only.

Centering Facilitation Workshop
The magic of Centering stems from skillful and compassionate group facilitation. This engaging workshop—available online or in-person—prepares you to facilitate your first Centering group. Whether you have experience with facilitation or are just starting out, you will build confidence through skill-building and interactive learning activities and leave this workshop with a strong understanding of the Centering model.
Advanced Facilitation Workshop
Join a small group of seasoned Centering facilitators for an interactive learning experience designed to advance your skills and energize your sessions. You’ll leave feeling inspired with fresh ideas and energy to bring to your Centering groups!
Resident Facilitation Workshop
Are you a provider student (resident, nurse practitioner or midwifery student) eager to get involved with Centering at your health center? This four-hour live virtual workshop equips you with facilitation skills, group management techniques and the confidence to lead your first Centering group.
This workshop is tailored to meet the needs of residents; it replaces the standard Centering Facilitation Workshop, coupled with observation of a current Centering session. All other healthcare staff must take the “Centering Facilitation Workshop.”
Centering Coordinator Training
As the Centering Coordinator at your site, you are an essential part of making sure Centering groups run smoothly. It is an incredibly rewarding, but sometimes overwhelming, role. We’re here to make sure you have all the support and resources you need to feel confident in your role as Centering Coordinator.
Centering Coordinator Training is a free quarterly four-hour learning experience for those newer to the Centering Coordinator role, or for those who need some extra support.
